Venue: Stage 151

Think you have what it takes to be a Rock Star? Show Chicagoland what you’ve got at the Harrah’s Battle of the Bands at Stage 151!

All participants must submit an application, demos, media kits, website information, and song clips to johernandez@harrahs.com between June 14 – 25, 2010. All bands will be notified by Friday, July 3, 2010 if they have been selected to participate in the Harrah’s Joliet’s Battle of the Bands competition.  Groups will also be notified on which date they will be participating in the contest. 

All members of the group are required to provide a Harrah’s Total Rewards® card at the time of registration.

Registration is from 6pm – 7pm.  Bands will be assigned a competition time at registration.  The competition will begin at 7pm.  Each session is 45 minutes.  Set up and sound check will be included in the 45 minute set. 

The competition will be judged by a panel of judges and the winner will be announced at approximately 12:00am midnight.  Audience participation is encouraged and will be factored into the judges final scores.  Winners must be present to win.

The winning band each week will receive $500 (total) and will be invited back to play at the Battle of the Bands Finale on Saturday, August 21, 2010 prior to Vertical Horizon and compete for a $2,500 cash prize and a chance to perform at the Venue at the Horseshoe Casino!

Groups must consist of at least 3 band members and each band will get to perform a maximum of 5 songs.  No in-ear monitors or back up tracks will be allowed during the competition.

Each band must perform cover songs and are allowed 1 original song only.  All band members must be at least 21 years old. 

All bands who participate in the contest will be considered for the rotation of Stage 151!
